Job Description
We are seeking highly skilled and motivated CDL-A Over-the-Road (OTR) Drivers to join our dynamic team based out of Casper, Wyoming. This is an incredible opportunity for experienced drivers looking for a high-paying route with a significant sign-on bonus. As an OTR Driver, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods across designated long-haul routes, ensuring timely deliveries and adherence to all traffic and company regulations. Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle safely and efficiently on long-haul routes.
- Ensure on-time delivery of freight to various destinations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle and equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and all required paperwork.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting and damage during transit.
- Manage time effectively to meet delivery schedules and hours of service requirements.
- Represent XPO Logistics professionally at all times.
Required Skills
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
- Current DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety procedures.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with driving and freight handling (e.g., climbing, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs).
- Reliable and responsible work ethic.
- Basic mechanical aptitude to identify and report vehicle issues.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of verifiable OTR driving experience.
- Hazmat endorsement.
- Experience with various types of trailers (dry van, reefer, flatbed).
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
