Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional and highly motivated Executive Transit Lead to oversee complex logistics and transportation strategies within our advanced operational frameworks in Huntsville. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive transit and logistics strategies for high-value assets and critical personnel.
  • Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Optimize transportation networks, modes, and scheduling to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize risks.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with external logistics providers and carriers, ensuring adherence to strict performance and security standards.
  • Utilize advanced analytics and technology to track, monitor, and report on transit performance and compliance.
  • Ensure all transit operations comply with national and international regulations, company policies, and security protocols.
  • Identify and implement innovative solutions for complex logistical challenges in a dynamic operational environment.
  • Prepare and manage budgets for transit operations, demonstrating fiscal responsibility and strategic allocation of resources.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience in complex logistics, supply chain, or transit management.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing strategic transportation initiatives.
  • Exceptional leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of global logistics, freight forwarding, and customs regulations.
  • Proficiency in supply chain management software and advanced analytical tools.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a data-driven approach to decision making.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related technical field.
  • Experience with advanced manufacturing or aerospace logistics environments.
  • Certifications in Lean Six Sigma, PMP, or other relevant supply chain methodologies.
